Credit Union NED Governance Training

This brand new free-to-attend training programme, held over six online evening sessions, is designed to help Credit Union NEDs better understand the context of their NED role.


It serves the same purpose for anyone aspiring to be a NED or starting out in that role. The sessions are discussion based with presentations used only as short tutorials.

Delegates need have no prior knowledge of finance or the financial services sector. In the same way prior knowledge of risk management or strategy setting is not necessary.

The course will be covered in six online evening sessions:

Monday, 17 November
     
3.   Leadership, Culture and controls
Communication Upwards, why this is so important
Monday, 1 December
     
4.   Decision Making 
Incentives

5.   Directors and their behaviour Monday, 15 December
     
6. Capital and liquidity - what it is and how the regulators look at it
Corporate Governance Design versus effectiveness

Timings:
18:00 - 19:00
Each session will comprise of two 10-15 minute presentations with two 10-15 minutes of discussion.

The sessions are open to NEDs from BSA Credit Union Members only
